Bun

Bun is fast and pleasant to use day-to-day — the install speed alone changes how often I reach for a script instead of avoiding the overhead.

I’m watching ecosystem gaps before trusting it in production, though. A couple of native Node modules with prebuilt binaries didn’t resolve cleanly, and the workaround cost more time than the runtime saved that week.

For local tooling and scripts it’s already the default. For a production service, it’s staying in trial until a project I don’t mind debugging at 2am proves it out.
